My Genre

08/04/17

Both of these pictures are landscape pictures. I know this because they are pictures of landscapes and beautiful scenery. These photos were taken by me a few years ago when we went to a family trip to Puerto Vallarta. This year I will be going to Cabo San Lucas and hopefully take new pictures. I chose this genre because there is a lot of things you can take a picture of nature. In the past I have taken pictures like this one. Like this one most of my pictures are nature and landscape.

Composition Through my Lence

08/08/17

This first image to the left has bad background composition. I know this because it shows my foot in the background, which is not something that a picture should be focused on. I would crop this picture to add the rule of thirds. This could be better if the picture was zoomed in or cropped.

The second image has great background composition. Both of the images follow the rule of thirds. the image portrays a a girl (me) holding a shell. The genre is Nature. I noticed that the picture has a  different view point than the one with bad composition.

Applying The Rule Of  Thirds

08/11/17

Before Applying The Rule Of Thirds:

We have a very big problem. In This picture, my niece and I are standing in the middle. If we added the  3 by 3 frame we would be in the middle.

After Applying The rule of Thirds:

I have now cropped my image so it can apply to the rule of thirds.

With The Rule Of Thirds:

This is what my picture look like with the rule of thirds grid on it, You can see that the first point and most focused point is right by my niece and I the rest is focused on the background.

Digital Editing GIF

8/24/17

This is a Gif that i made of a lake that I went to with my family. This assignment was very fun and I knew I was ready to do it because i was able to understand how to use photo-shop. To edit it I decided to use four different filters and applied them separately. I feel that this picture conveys many things. For example, it shows how a beautiful piece of nature looks like. It also, conveys the dark and the light which represents the night and day. this I have seen many Gifs before. for example, on the iphone you are able to send Gifs all the time.

Alphabet Photography

8/24/17

I found the letter T in a mail box post, outside of my house.

I found the letter  A in a small working bench.

I found the first N in a bookshelf and the second one on some old metal rails in our backyard.

This Y was the shape of a leaf from a plant in my backyard.

I made this A using colorful leaves that feel off a tree.

Me My Color and I

09/01/17

This assignment was very fun to do and I learned plenty from it. I knew I was prepared to do it because I understood how to use the quick selection tool to crop out an image and implemented into another, using the hue adjustment, applying the text tool, incorporate English  (short poem) and Art Subject Skills to create this assignment with quality and academic knowledge. For this picture, I used a beach background and an image of my self. I cropped myself out of an image and pasted it on a beautiful background. This is used in the outside world for a lot of things. For example, advertisements, invitations, and more.

Close-Up

This assignment consisted of 6 photos. These include: an Extreme Long Shot, Long Shot, Medium Shot, Medium Close-Up, Close-Up, and an Extreme Close-up. They all use the same subject/ scene of a beautiful flower. The extreme long shot is very far away and shows no detail. However, the Long Shot and Medium Shot are closer and show more detail. The last three are close ups of the flower that are very detailed.

To learn how to capture these we looked at an interactive power point. This assignment connects to the real world industry becaose it it seen on billboards movies at more. This is because they can often convey feeling, a sense of setting and more.

Camera Angles

10/10/17

This project consisted of myself knowing and understanding all six of the picture angles. To know how to take these pictures appropriately, I took practice ones about three times. I also learned how these angles are used in photography as well as film. Additionally, I learned all six names of the angles and somewhat memorized how they looked like. This assignment connects to the real world because it is used in many pictures and movies. The assignment also benefited me because now I can identify the six types of angles as well as apply them to pictures and videos.

Shutter Speed

10/18/17

This picture of a slinky was taken at a shutter speed of 1/4000. It also seems to be completely frozen in time. This has a very quick shutter speed.

This picture of a slinky was taken at a shutter speed of 1/100. It also seems to have a little bit of motion. This has a medium shutter speed.

This picture of a slinky was taken at a shutter speed of 1/50. It also seems to have a lot of motion and looks kind of blurry. This has a very slow shutter speed.

Aperture

10/25/17

This picture of my friendship bracelet is taken at an f stop of 4.5. It gives the image a very blurry depth field. It also allows your eyes to focus on the main object. The blurriness is caused  by the camera allowing in more light.

This picture of my friendship bracelet is taken at an f stop of 22. It gives the image a very even depth field. It also allows your eyes to focus on the main object and all of the background. There is no blurriness in this picture because the camera did not let in any light.

This picture of my friendship bracelet is taken at an f stop of 9. It gives the image a somewhat blurry depth field. It also allows your eyes to focus on the main object yet see a bit of the background. The blurriness is caused  by the camera allowing in some light.
